The first time I started a blog I spent several days researching about what web hosting is most suitable for me, and several websites say that Bluehost is their most recommended web hosting service. In my two years in the business I’ve been with several web hosts. All of them are good hosts, I can attest to that, but when it comes to credibility and reliability and speed, especially for people who are looking to host their very first website, Bluehost takes the trophy.
You might be saying, “no way it’s that good, I’ve read reviews!” Well, have you read mine? The truth is, no web hosting service is flawless, every single one of them has flaws, but what matters is how they deal with it and how little of an inconvenience it brings to their clients.
I will tell you why Bluehost is the best web hosting service for people who are new in this kind of thing. Whether you are a designer or a developer who wants to start a blog just like 1stwebdesigner or simply host your own portfolio professionally, or a budding blogger looking forward to starting a blog, you will find Bluehost the only hosting service you will ever need!Read More
Recently I wrote an article about how developers and designers can earn money as a side project, which included writing tutorials, recording video tutorials, writing an eBook, and creating a premium membership website to name a few a few different options.
Today, what I’m going to show you is how to combine those three to form a super website where you can showcase your talents, products, and general awesomeness.
In this post you will learn how to:
- leverage your skills to create a product
- turn that product into an income generator
- using a unique tool that we’ll provide, something you’ve never seen before
- which will absolutely require zero coding skills on your end
- launch your products with a perfect website (absolutely no coding required!)
Why are we doing this? Because we can…and we want to revolutionize the way people leverage their skills to actually earn more on the side, even while having a 9 to 5 job.
The end-game? You could be your own boss in no time!
It’s super easy! What are you waiting for? Show me your war faces!Read More
Two months ago 1stwebdesigner launched three ebooks, stepping into this market for the first time. We planned our promotion in a way that we had 8,000 free downloads in three days, which resulted in $1,000 profit for the first month through Amazon. The following month we did even better, closing to $2,000 for July. The best thing about this promotion is that I know we’ll be making $1000 per month passively and if we want to make more it will depend on our own promotion. These numbers may not seem impressive compared to a $100,000 launch, but I like that this money is earned passively, it’s a nice side income, regardless of whatever we are doing. Mainly it’s because of the huge Amazon market itself, giving us a regular 500 sales per month.
Would you mind earning $2,000 monthly as side income? Please don’t read further if these numbers don’t sound good enough for you! Search for the next quote about Scamworld, where gurus will teach you how to make millions! Hell yeah – that’s what I am talking about! In this post I will reveal details how we came up with the idea for ebooks, promoted them on Amazon to get rankings and leveraged their market. My aim is to show you how you can do the same thing and possibly perform even better.Read More
If I were to begin this article by telling you that the mobile web has arrived, and it has taken our world by a storm, and it will most likely change the way we create and use websites, it’ll probably be a waste of time and effort. We all know that the future of the internet lies in mobile – if your website does not cater to mobile solutions or devices and focuses entirely on desktops, you are sure to lose a good deal of visitors. Whether or not we decide to give up our desktops and laptops, at some point of time in our daily routine, we do surf the internet via our smartphones and tablets, and trust me, nothing is more annoying than having to browse a non-mobile friendly website on a cramped screen.
One may ask, if mobile is the future of the internet, mobile website creation software must be selling like hot-cakes, right?
There used to be a time when mobile website creation tools were very popular. In fact, a lot of premium software for mobile website creation had become synonymous with web design itself. However, as of late, they have fallen out of favor.
Well, this is what we shall be exploring in this article.Read More
It has been quite some time since the era of handheld devices dawned upon us. Smartphones, tablets, eBook readers – you name it! With each passing day, it seems as if the gadgets we use and the technology we employ is shrinking in size.
So, how many of these super portable handheld beauties do you own? An iPad? Amazon Kindle? MS Zune?
Something? Anything? Everything?
And as with any new trend in technology, debate is in the air – will this new trend kill the old one?Read More

When launching a website, one of the most important decisions that you have to make is selecting a good web hosting company. While the importance of selecting the right CMS and hiring a good designer is outlined in every other technology blog or magazine nowadays, hardly anyone talks about the importance of a good web host. However, a good host is not just important but also indispensable. After all, you wouldn’t want your visitors to find your site offline 9 times out of the 10 visits that they pay to your website, would you?
Here at 1WD, we have taken upon ourselves to help you find the ideal web host. In this article I shall be discussing the things that you need to consider, plus the things that you do not need to consider (or, in other words, things that need to be avoided), and then finally wind up the discussion with a small round-up of some major web hosting providers. And, most importantly, unlike the zillions of web hosting related articles that you’ll find on the internet, this one does not have any affiliate links.Read More
