And we got winner: it’s Ralph with comment:

“I see you like writing posts centering around lists, eg, “45 Free ___”.  Sticking to that, how about more of “Best Designed Blogs”, “Most Creative Blog Designs”, “Best Magazine Style Blog”, etc.

Another goldmine is a great post about making a theme options page for wordpress themes.  It’s a great feature, yet it’s so hard to find instructions on it.”

Congratulations to winner!

Thank You all for participating and thanks for huge amount of great new ideas! Keep in touch!

I have noticed that “Adobe Illustrator” tutorials are not commonly found even after the fact that web design is more diverted to illustrations these days. That would be a great resource for all of us.

    Regards

  2. says

Something to do with illustration! Well-designed illustration portfolios, use of illustration in webdesign… of course, being an illustrator, I’m deeply biased. :)

I would like to win those cards!!!! maybe you should make a section on the free stuff you can find on the web(brushes, fonts, etc).

  4. says

I’d like an article that’s a super simple introduction to web coding or something similar that’s really accessible to people who focus more on design. Maybe some convenient resources along the same lines, too.

Great contests on the interwebz as of late.

  5. liz says

I’d like to see a series on testing. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen anything like that on other webdesign/dev blogs.

  6. says

We are actually in the process of finding a business to print off our 1st set of business cards. Win or lose we most definitely will be using this website.

  7. Elizabeth Kaylene says

I’m actually really excited about the upcoming article with design templates and more for the hand drawn look. I’m new to this site so I haven’t gotten to look around much, but I definitely like it so far!

I would be very interested in seeing some “101” level tutorials involving CSS and how to effectively incorporated it into WYSIWYG’s.

  9. sedFEIS says

Hi! I would like to see a complete video+text tutorial from designing a WP theme to the final step, coding it. And something related to business card creation.

  11. Steve Robillard says

I would like to see more articles on the complete process of launching a wordpress blog. Most articles go from install to first post. without much in between, no security needed plugins, marketing etc.

  12. John Fredrickson says

I’d love to see an article covering the intricacies of typography on the web. Type styling with css, and dynamic font replacement would be really interesting to read about.

  13. Thomas S. Lindstrøm says

What I’d like to see is more trends, inspiration and tips for creating cool websites. Also, what Sol3 wrote, I could use some articles on typography. Colors too? Whoa, well. That’s it.

  14. Michael Smith says

WordPress tips, tricks and articles are always great to see. Also articles on handling clients and jobs are interesting as well. Hearing other peoples stories of “what went wrong” with a client are always great advice for what not to do with your own clients.

  15. pen says

I’m a big fan of posts that list unusual inspiration dumps. I was inspired to help a client with her logo after reading about eye movements and the golden spiral… and it was a success!

  16. Rommel Miraflores says

I’d like to see some articles, or a set of articles that go through the process of setting up a web design business, how to get clients, what to charge for and how to decide how much to charge.

  17. Sebastian Strauss says

I would like to see and article on Design Plagiarism and its most usual forms. Thanks and nice site!

  18. says

    @Dan there’s no need for tutorial, just apply that div – margin:0 auto;

@Ralph great tips!! Yes, I am more interested in list articles for now, because I don’t feel to be an expert as I wanted to be.

@Steve also good point! I could write about how to market, if You are interested in WP plugins, You should check Worpress section on the top – there are huge selection of best WP plugins available.

Looks like people can’t have enough tutorials, at least Adobe program tutorial roundup collections I can make, about tutorials – I think I need to get another question to you – which kind of tutorials You want to see? I am most familiar with Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Indesign.

  19. Dan says

I’d like to see a tutorial on how to center an image inside a centered DIV using only CSS.

  20. Estra says

I’d like to see tutorials regarding the use of Adobe Fireworks and Dreamweaver, and the efficiencies that they can make.
    Thanks for the contest!

  21. Sol3 says

I strongly second having more typography articles, as typography is a huge part of graphic design in general that people often overlook. More inspiration and web design news articles would also be fun to read. For instance, if you run across a neat web site or student project, as well as increased web-design-relevant tech news.

  22. says

I would like to have some wordpress related design articles. May be some current trends related wordpress designing.

    Thanks

    Great giveaway, by the way.

  25. Stephanie Malone says

This is a great giveaway and a really brilliant idea for soliciting contest entries. I would love to see articles focused on self-promotion: how to promote your website, get clients, build a network, use social media to build a business and anything related to growing a design business. Thanks!

  26. says

I would really like to read an article about future trends in web design. I love those articles, specially if they’re written by an expert.

  27. Filip Wroblewski says

Maybe some guides for people that want to become freelancers or maybe start their own design business.

  28. Riley Kaminer says

Maybe give some more visuals–like videos–of what you’re talking about.

  29. says

I would like to read about some of the challenges facing the next generation of web developers and how much of 3-d rendering / animation will play it’s part in the future of the internet. :)

  30. Tom says

My favorites are the wordpress articles, so I’d like to read more about plugins, designs, skins. Maybe some tutorials about the customizing, css, etc – for the non-pros. Photoshop tutorials also welcome, I can’t have enough of that, too.

  31. says

I would love a good “Intro to Adobe Illustrator” article. It’s something that seems to be lacking at large on the internet. Basically something that would cover the basics and give me something to work from…
