Popular Firefox Extensions for SEO masters
Firefox becomes really powerful tool if you use the right add-ons for your purpose.
I know from myself that I am obsessed with numbers, statistics, page rankings and, of course, SEO – trying to pull web page to rank higher.
There are 4 most known rankings – Google Pagerank, Compete Site Analytics, Alexa Ranking and Quancast.
I want to provide You with the most popular tools for FireFox to increase Your work effectiveness surfing around the web.
1. Compete Browser Extension
My personal favorite one – this extension provides with neat information about web sites, displaying how fast it is growing, how popular web site is (people count) and its ranking in Compete. Great for checking stats.
2.Search Status
For every site you visit using, SearchStatus displays its Google Pagerank, Alexa popularity ranking, Compete ranking, Alexa related links, backward links from Google, Yahoo! and MSN and more.
Great combination in one extension don’t You think?
3.SEO for FireFox
Must have extension – I already mentioned it in my previous article – but hey! this one is great!
Excellent plugin for all those, who like to watch statistics right into Google and Yahoo search results. You can get Alexa, Google PageRank, Tehnorati rankings and many other useful data.
4. Wizz RSS News Reader
Wizz RSS News Reader is a very powerful and easy to use RSS and Atom news reader/aggregator extension for Mozilla Firefox.
5. Kgen
This addon allows to see which keywords are strong on certain web site and it retrieves all words of a page and lets You know how many times those appear, great for SEO.
6. SEOMoz Rank Checker | Browser button
Great tool – it allows You to check and store rankings of Your page, by installing browser button You will be able to check Your rankings right on the browser.

You need to register there, to use this extension.
7. SeoQuake
Seoquake is one of the most powerful tools available for analyzing your web site SEO results.
It will help to find out your PageRank score, which and how many pages on Your site are indexed and much more similar statistics for Yahoo, Alexa e.t.c.
Read full description at Mozilla home page.
8. Google Toolbar
A must have extension, if you use several Google tools.
FireFox already has Google Search build in by default – why You should need download this toolbar?
It’s because this toolbar lets us access all Google products with a single click, it also let You check Page Rank, backward links etc.
9. Time Tracker
Do You spend to much time browsing and cannot get things done?
You can organize Your time with checking how long You browse over FireFox, analyze Your Internet addiction! :) – but seriously good extension to organize Your time.
10.Social Media For FireFox
Unfortunately not supported in FF 3.1.
Useful plugin – it shows the stats of 4 social bookmarking sites like digg, reddit, stumbleupon and delicious right in Your statusbar. Useful for checking Your site which articles has not been yet submitted in these sites.
11. Read it Later
This is also one of my favorite. Read It Later gives a chance to save interesting pages to read them later – if you`re just collecting information, but don’t want to add bookmark, this is excellent alternative.
