As a web designer I often find myself creating my own textures and patterns to use for backgrounds to add that little extra creativity to my designs. Depending on the project and my clients brief, sometimes I will search to see what is out there. When I came across this blog I was pleasantly surprised with the range of different colourful patterns available, from the simplicity of some to the detail in others. Thanks for sharing this collection.

Jack, you need to visit each site directly to see their license, but generally all of those patterns are fully free for using. However it’s always nice to give link back if you use them as a way of saying thanks.

Well, you can mix these techniques – inspire from other textures, patterns, modify them – create your own! Always helpful to get creative juices flowing or save when you have crisis in creativity!

Hey Dainis! I know you from Pinterest :) I am loving #13 the leaf curls, and #35 because I’m a sucker for a good damask pattern in black and white. I have a piece of damask fabric I use sometimes that looks similar to that, when I’m doing headshot portraits.

Haha, that makes two of us! Always loving natural patterns coming from kinda real life. You are using fabric as background on photographies?
