These are great the best on that I have seen is from fancybox. Lots of clear examples and is well like by the internet community. However, it can be a little tricky to setup at first.

It’s a great collection of javascript sliders and scrollers, but maybe you could include Galleriffic too, a free jQuery plugin that provides a rich, post-back free experience optimized to handle high volumes of photos while conserving bandwidth.
