Hmm, everyone has own opinion but I really I like few designs especially number 17 (eSports by akses) and I am planning to create a gaming site like eSports.

Definitely a cleaner and simple design as compared to some of the Insane sites on this list.

If you are talking about a gaming website, the first thought comes up in the mind is gaming website should be full of thriller and excitement, action packed color themes, and thunderous images. And that is all about a gaming website. But here author didnt cover all gaming websites, I mean most of them are average and dont go over my expectations.

Pretty cool large collection of sites, its interesting to see the common use of black in a majority of the designs. Dark and mysterious I guess. Thanks for sharing!

If we were in 90s or 2000s, I would absolutely say that they are insane.

These website designs look cluttered, IMHO. I agree with the others: they look dated and not at all fun to navigate. There are better gaming website designs out there. Just my two cents’.

From my point of view, these websites have a clean and nice design. Personally, I am heading in this direction, as I consider that a neutral design will fit the tastes of a large mass of people.

In my opinion these website look really dated. Perhaps it’s the industry, but I am not a fan of one of these websites. They look like they have all been built from template from a website like 1&1.

Agreed, and agreed.
Though some are very nice! And as you say it might be the industry.

Not impressed. They look all the same, noizy (too much of everything) and oldschool. I better like simple and clean design.

I agree they are too old they need to fit the new designs. They are also repeat the same thing you want designs to be different.
If not, then it's time to learn how to:
