Most of the best video game sites use flash, it looks great but can be difficult for people with slow connections.

Bleh, Blizzard’s site shouldn’t even be on that list, and definitely shouldn’t top it. It’s one of the worst designed, yet visually appealing sites I have ever seen. It’s terrible to navigate around, and after logging into the members section, you’ll discover no way to update your information, until you realise you have to click on the “Home” like and two more pages after that.
Considering how often a 404 error or “site down” messages show up, it’s no wonder they spent so much effort designing those pages.

Almost all gaming websites use extensive graphics. That is tricky. Most of them do a good job with balancing content and presentation.
