How to Properly Redesign a Website

Posted in: TipsWeb DesignWritten by: Christian VasileJanuary 28th, 2012

Redesigning a website happens very often on the internet today. It can be thanks to the new technologies that appear one after another (and every one of us wants to stay in fashion) or because the rules change from month to month. Whatever the reason is, it is quite important to do it properly and to ensure the new design will bring you more advantages over your competitor than the old version. We don't redesign a website only for the sake of spending money. We do it because we feel that the site needs a visual revamp, we feel that our visitors want to see something new from a visual stand point.  Posted in: TipsWeb DesignWritten by: Rean John UeharaSeptember 3rd, 2011

The thought of producing the best possible design, either from scratch or redesigning something, gives jitters to the heart of many designers. Even professionals in the field can't quite balance beauty and function. A few days ago I saw a comment here on 1stwebdesigner that says most of today's web designing is just like recycling old designs. That several years ago, when CSS was first introduced, people were really ecstatic to see “new” designs which were totally one-of-a-kind. With the rise of CMS like WordPress, Joomla, and others, there are already ready-made themes that, if I may say, are used by thousands of people. Nothing unique, nothing fancy. I am among those people who buy ready-made themes. Partly because I don't have the funds to hire a professional designer/developer to make me a website and half the reason is it's easier that way. I know, hold your pitchforks and listen first!
